Kern Haynes, MBA

Kern Haynes brings nearly 20 years of healthcare experience to Medina Health Center. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Greater Philadelphia Health Action, a multi-site Federally Qualified Health Center, where he oversees finance, accounting, revenue cycle management, capital planning, pharmacy operations, and purchasing.
 

Kern began his healthcare career as a medical case manager, helping uninsured patients obtain health coverage. This experience gave him an early understanding of how financial decisions affect patients, staff, and the communities healthcare organizations serve.
 

As Medina’s Fractional Chief Financial Officer, Kern provides financial guidance and helps strengthen the systems needed to support the Center’s growth. He holds an MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Administration and a Healthcare Executive Certificate from UCLA. In 2022, he was named a CFO of the Year by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
