Dr. Syed Rizvi

In today’s world, amidst a global pandemic, many are suddenly gaining interest in medical research to find a cure or a control for the virus at hand. Even the common man is conducting his own experiments within the bounds of the home he is locked down in. Dr. Rizvi, however, has been knee deep in clinical trials since the start of his medical career.

Dr. Syed Wajih Rizvi, an alumnus of Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, completed his internal medicine residency in Philadelphia at Mercy Catholic Medical Center. He furthered his education with fellowships in Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism and Lipid Disorders at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, the Hahnemann University and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia as well.

As the President and CEO of R-Research, Dr. Rizvi is heavily involved in clinical trials around diabetes mellitus and its associated therapies and treatments. His research work has also been instrumental to his private medical practice. As an endocrinologist, he has shown immense success in treating patients with endocrine and metabolic issues, including, but not limited to, diabetes, hormone imbalance, and obesity. He has launched a weight loss program within his practice, offering medical guidance, particularly to patients losing large amounts of weight.

Amidst all his professional pursuits, Dr. Rizvi has also been known to be a man of deep faith and believes strongly in worship through service. He is one of the cofounders of a global nonprofit called Imamia Medics International (IMI). IMI provides medical relief in some of the neediest places in the world, as well as, medical education, training, internships, conferences, health advocacy, and screening programs. His service for the community extends through Medina Community Clinic, where he sees some of our patients requiring care and long-term management.
