Network Development Volunteer

Ashley Hines has an impressive career background including over 25 years of experience working in managed care network development, provider relations, provider contracting negotiations, contracts management and operations of hospital, ancillary, and physician agreement contracts.  His experience has also involved assisting Managed Care Organizations and network providers lower medical costs and utilization expense, through services leading to healthier patient outcomes.  He has worked in the development and management of provider networks in the US Mid-Atlantic regions of Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey; working at various staff levels for several healthcare organizations such as Independence Blue Cross, MetLife, QualMed Plans for Health, OakTree Health Plans, AmeriChoice of PA, United Healthcare, and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield NJ.  He has also worked in contracts administration at Astra-Zeneca Pharmaceuticals.

Ashley takes personal pride as a dedicated advocate for the promotion of community health concerns and activities, through his involvement with non-profit organizations, for equal rights and quality healthcare services, to address the disparities of low income and underserved minority populations.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Education from Lincoln University, and graduate degrees: Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics from University of Pennsylvania, and Master of Business Administration, Technology Management, from University of Phoenix.
